FORGIVENESS

Forgiveness is such a hard action to do when one is hurt. To forgive someone that hurts you is a challenge, but it also a relief from a heavy burden on the heart.

Forgiveness is a leaned act once you experience hurt and disappointment. To create an act of forgiveness is a gift to your heart. We first need to learn to forgive ourselves for disappointment and things we have done in our lifetime.

Forgiveness is about extending mercy to those who have harmed or disappointed us, even if you feel they don’t deserve it. Forgiveness helps us to increase our self-esteem, gives you confidence to move forward and gives us inner strength.

Forgiveness isn’t a sign of weakness but strength. It is not about letting someone off the hook for their actions but freeing ourselves of negative energies that bind us to them. When you don’t forgive that hurt and disappointment it becomes a continuous memory.

Let’s all take a moment and think about someone that you need to forgive that has been weighing heavy on your heart. Who do you need to say “I forgive you for… “in order to lighten your heart and move forward from the memories? Forgiveness is the greatest gift you can give yourself (Maya Angelou).
